Linen for Life on Board
Nothing on board is standard: berths are shaped and recessed, tables are cut to the room, and every centimetre is accounted for. Linen for a vessel is made the way the vessel was, to its own dimensions and to no other.
This is the house's bespoke work at its furthest point: made to the vessel.
What the sea asks
At sea the cloth serves under conditions the land never sets: salt in the air, humidity in every cabin, and a season of use without pause. Materials are chosen to stand all three and keep their hand through use, washing, and time.
How the work proceeds
The work runs from first specification to the finished piece, through a single reference point. The berth, the bath and the table are taken from the vessel's own drawings and developed dimension by dimension; monograms and the vessel's name sit among the customisations. Owners, captains and designers deal with one contact throughout.
